Emotionalists is a multi-disciplinary group associating painters, sculptors, illustrators, photographers, graphic artists, textile designers, dancers, and musicians founded as an artistic movement in 1994 by sculptor, painter, and designer of the Polish School of Industrial Design, and professor emeritus at the University of Bridgeport, Lubomir Tomaszewski (1923-2018). The group has as its mission the return to the natural language of expression in art and seeks to awaken deep emotions in the viewer, to speak directly to the heart of a viewer who seeks a deeper connection to art and their life experiences. The group’s award-winning works have been exhibited internationally and at numerous galleries, colleges, and universities throughout the United States, including Seton Hall, Harvard, Northeastern, and Fordham.
