December 06, 2024
Marek Skulimowski - The Kosciuszko Foundation
The Kosciuszko Foundation in New York invites you to an evening with Wisława Szymborska's poetry presented by the Polish Theatre Institute in the USA and the Salon of Poetry, Music, and Theater in Toronto, Canada.
The poems will be recited in Polish, but English transcripts will be available.
Wisława Szymborska, a renowned Polish poet, essayist, and translator, was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1996 "for poetry that with ironic precision allows the historical and biological context to come to light in fragments of human reality."
