Polish Film Festival on U. of M. Campus

Ann Arbor - The 18th Ann Arbor Polish Film Festival will take place November 12-13, 2011. Two locations will host movies. A free presentation will be Saturday at 1:00 PM., at Lorch Hall on the University of Michigan campus. There will be a discussion with the festival guest, Magdalena Holland-Lazarkiewicz, director of “Dance Marathon” following the 7:30 PM movie at Lorch Hall.

Sunday’s start will be at 1:00 PM. at the University of Michigan - Museum of Art, (Stern Auditorium) with a discussion hosted by director Antoni Krause following the 7:30 PM., presentation of “Black Thursday.”

Movies will be in English or with English subtitles.  Tickets: $12 general admission, $8 students and seniors.  Documentary segments in the afternoon will have free admission.

One of the ambassadors for the festival, Dr. Andrzej Myc is hoping for more students to attend the evening sessions.  “This is a great opportunity for young filmmakers to get advice from world-class professionals,” he said.  “These exchanges are invaluable.”  Both evenings a gathering for post film discussions will take place at Amadeus Restaurant, 122 E. Washington Blvd., in downtown Ann Arbor.
