2006 Shrine Polish Festival

The 41st Annual Polish American Festival at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, takes place during the Labor Day Weekend Holiday, September 2nd, 3rd & 4th, and continues the following weekend, September 9th and 10th. The festival will be open from 12 noon until 8 P.M. on all five days. The Shrine’s Polish American Festival features live stage shows, Polka parties with live music, a complete selection of Polish food and refreshments and carnival rides. The festival also features some special attractions including the Polish Village with demonstrations of treasured Polish traditions, live presentations of the legends of Poland and the Siege of Czestochowa.

Entertainment schedule:

Saturday, September 2nd, entertaining will be the Charm City Sound, Wislanie 90 and the Versa J’s.

Sunday, September 3rd, The Polish American String Band, Wislanie 90 and the Dyna Brass.

Monday, September 4th, Labor Day, Tommy Thomas Trio, Wislanie 90 and Lenny Gomulka and the Chicago Push.

While at the festival, you can visit all of the shrine’s facilities and on all five days stop by the Adam Styka Exhibit sponsored by the Polish Heritage Society.

During the Second weekend, Saturday, September 9th enjoy Jersey Richie, Dennis Polisky and the Maestro’s Men.

Sunday, September 10th you will enjoy the Eddie Derwin and the Polka Naturals and Ray Jay and the Carousels.
