Polish American Night at Comerica Park (40th Annual)
May 22, 2010
Detroit Tigers vs. Oakland Athletics - Friday, May 28, 2010
Experience the richness of Polish culture on Polish-American night at Comerica Park on Friday, May 28, starting at 5:30 PM. The Tigers will host the Oakland Athletics at 7:05 PM.
The pre-game celebration will include performances by local dance troupes. The color and pageantry of Polish folk dancing will be featured. There will also be a special ceremony honoring volunteers. A special aspect will be the singing of the Polish national anthem prior to the game. This is an exceptional highlight as it honors allied armed service veterans.
Besides the baseball field being covered with lively Polka dancing, the color and pageantry will continue with great Polka music. The grand part of the pre-game celebration will be the music. This will include The Natural Tones, The Kielbasa Kings and the ever popular, Big Daddy Lackowski & The La De Das.
The Detroit Tigers will also host the Friday postgame “Fireworks Show”, (weather permitting).
Each $35 ticket package includes an upper deck Box Seat, Polish-American Tigers T-shirt, hot dog, bag of chips and a small Pepsi. Plus, $5 from every package sold will go to help the Polish-American Congress Charitable Foundation.
