10th anniversary of Nowodworski Foundation
September 04, 2009
This fall the Nowodworski Foundation celebrates the 10th anniversary of educational and promotional work dedicated to the arts, culture, and global understanding.
Dear Friend,
This fall the Nowodworski Foundation celebrates the 10th anniversary of educational and promotional work dedicated to the arts, culture, and global understanding.
It is our greatest honor to invite you to the “Patrons for the Arts” event, connecting artists, sponsors, volunteers, and all arts and music lovers. It is also a reunion of the wonderful people, who donated their time and resources to support the Foundation and the students, who benefited from their generosity.
The Event will take place at:
2:00 PM on Sunday, October 11th, 2009
at the charming Bronxville Women’s Club,
135 Midland Ave, Bronxville, NY 10708.
The Program consists of:
- The art exhibit by acclaimed painters: Aleksandra Nowak, Basha Maryanska, Stanislaw Grebski, and sculptor the creator of Emotionalism, prof. Lubomir Tomaszewski
- A concert by the author of the “Krzysztof Komeda Project”, saxophonist Krzysztof Medyna
- The Jan III Sobieski Award for the Champion of the Polish – American Cultural Exchange, recognizing 27 years of Hon. Joseph E. Gore leadership as President of the Kosciuszko Foundation.
The Nowodworski Foundation programs organized as the SITES “You Picasso” (art) and “Path to Broadway” (music) successfully reached hundreds of students through schools and public libraries. The most beloved by students were the Summer Art Camps, part of the International Cultural Exchange Program, which also hosted the foreign artists and students in the United States. Foundation promoted many artists organizing exhibits and concerts. A lot of emphasis in Foundation work was put on reaching the undeserved communities. Foundation used the talents of musicians and visual artists to help students in need overcome their addictions or family problems through participation in the music and art programs. You can find more information about Foundation at the www.sitenf.org and some glimpses of the past at www.nowodworski.org.
Dear Friend, we will love you to share your pictures, drawings or text presenting your connection with Foundation in the Event Journal. We also encourage you to join the group of enthusiastic folks gathering at “Patrons for the Arts” event, and add your personal sponsorship to strengthen the SITE programs for the future. Please come, bring your family and friends, and have a wonderful time enjoying art and music.
With best regards,
