Iwona A. Karpeta of Perth Amboy, NJ Chairman of the 42nd Annual Polish Heritage Festival at the PNC Art Bank Center, Holmdel, NJ Exit 116 off the Garden State Parkway invite all to participate in this Polish cultural and family-fun event.
The day will begin at 10:30 am with a celebration of the Liturgy of the Mass. A Polish Redemptorist of Perth Amboy will serve as principal celebrant. Dorothy M. Sowchuk of South River, NJ, President of the Polish American Heritage League, encourages all to participate in the celebration of the liturgy as we will remember all those who died in the defense of Poland’s and America’s freedom. Mrs. Sowchuk also says that prayers will also be offered for The Most Holy Saint John Paul II.
The theme of this year’s festival celebrates the Canonization to the Sainthood of Pope John Paul II. Admission is free for all who attend and there is no charge for parking. Talent for the day will include The Banner of Jasna Gora, Abba Girlz, Maki, Ewa Marta Lewandowska, Klaudia Aleksandra Morelowska, Top Dance & Kabaret Prima Aprilis and Joseph School of Dance. The stage program will be hosted by Aleksandra Slabisz and Janusz Szlechta.
In addition, Polish food and Polish vendors’ market along with an antique car show and games and amusements for children will top off the day. Sponsors for this free event are Garden State Arts Center Cultural Foundation, United Poles Federal Credit Union, The Tomek J. Kazalski Foundation & Polish & Slavic Federal Credit Union.
