Gov. Pat Quinn, Poland's Minister of Economy, Pawel Poncyljusz, and WTCI Chairman Neil Hartigan to Open Polish-American Trade Show

Chicago (May 24, 2007) - The 5th Annual Polish-American Trade Show  - www.tradetargi.com - will open Friday, May 25, at 12:30 pm at Rosemont  Convention Center. Building on its success in previous years, the Show has moved to Rosemont as part of its expansion and attracted exhibitors from companies based in the US  and Poland, representing nearly all sectors of the economy. The goal of the event is to encourage economic growth and revitalization on both sides of the Atlantic  by bringing together a diverse and innovative group of entrepreneurs as presenters and visitors, to pursue partnership and trade relations.

The event will showcase wide-ranging business interests: financial and insurance services, business consulting, manufacturing, graphics and advertising services, legal services, real estate, wood products, furniture, interior design, construction and home improvement, food products, health, and travel services, as well as import-export specialists. This eclectic blend of exhibitors will be greeting visitors in both English and Polish, with a friendly staff of show guides to provide assistance.
 
Friday's ribbon cutting ceremony will be attended by Lt. Gov. Pat Quinn, Poland's Minister of Economy, Pawel Poncyljusz and the WTCI Chairman, Neil Hartigan, Bogdan Wegrzynek President Polish American Youth, Sonya Halemahn FGA. The Trade Show welcomes the Lt. Governor and honors his more than 25 years of championing efficiency and fairness in government. He has been a tireless advocate of consumer protection, tax reform, economic development in underserved areas, and helped found the Illinois Military Family Relief Fund, to assist families of those serving their country. Minister Poncyljusz joins the Trade Show for the first time since his appointment in 2006. He has consistently shown interest in the trade development between  Poland and the United States. The Honorable Neil F. Hartigan, as Chairman of the World Trade Center Illinois, has supported business and trade relations between  Illinois and the many nations abroad, including Poland. Also lending support to the Trade Show's proceedings will be Alderman Manny Flores, a recently declared candidate for Congress from the 4 th district, who has been a good friend of the Polish American community of Chicago.

PACC is at the forefront in encouraging and promoting domestic and foreign trade to benefit its members and future business associates. The Chamber is a not-for-profit organization incorporated in the State of Illinois as a business association.  As the voice of Polish American business men and women, the Chamber is dedicated to serving their best interests through education on current trends and facilitating commercial contacts.
