"Spies In My Blood" with Alex Storozynsk at the United Solo in NYC
October 28, 2024
Marek Skulimowski - The Kosciuszko Foundation
An adaptation of his new memoir, "Spies In My Blood – Secrets of a Polish Family’s Fight Against Nazis and Communists," will be presented at the United Solo Festival at Theatre Row on 42nd Street.
Alex Storozynski’s compelling book and documentary on Thaddeus Kosciuszko have played a significant role in illuminating the story of this Polish hero. Through his tireless efforts, he organized a petition that garnered the support of 300,000 people, leading to a decisive change in the American media's narrative regarding the phrase "Polish Concentration Camps." His work did not stop there; he was instrumental in urging the U.S. archives to release crucial evidence at the Kosciuszko Foundation’s Katyn conference held at the prestigious Library of Congress. This evidence revealed that the U.S. government had long been aware of the Russian atrocities against Polish officers during World War II, including their murders and the subsequent burial in mass graves.
Now, Storozynski is stepping into a new and exciting role on stage. An adaptation of his gripping memoir, "Spies In My Blood: Secrets of a Polish Family’s Fight Against Nazis and Communists," will be showcased at the United Solo Festival, taking place at Theatre Row on the vibrant 42nd Street. This production promises to dive deep into the struggles and resilience of a Polish family navigating the treacherous landscapes of Nazi and Communist oppression.
