Dear Friends,

Since 1925, the Kosciuszko Foundation has provided scholarships, promoted Polish culture and stood up for Poland's good name. But now we need your help.

The Kosciuszko Foundation has provided millions in scholarships to Poles and Polish-Americans to study history, law, economics, art, medicine and other subjects. In addition to the Chopin and Sembrich competitions, the Foundation promotes Polish music, art, cinema and theater to American audiences.

And whether it's telling the truth about the Katyn Massacre by hosting a conference at the Library of Congress and the U.S. Senate; persuading The New York Times, Wall Street Journal and Associated Press to stop using the phrase "Polish concentration camps"; or providing sample letters and e-mail addresses to Congress so that we can comment on the Visa Waiver Program, the Kosciuszko Foundation will always stand up for Polonia.

Our latest initiative is to fulfill the wishes of Maria Sklodowska-Curie to establish a scholarship in her name at the Kosciuszko Foundation. We are collecting funds for this scholarship, and the theme of this year's Ball will be "Polish Contributions to Science," with special honoree, Nobel Prize winning physicist Frank Wilczek of MIT.

Poles have had an astronomic impact on science. The Kosciuszko Foundation is also establishing a Collegium of Eminent Scientists to honor renowned scientists of Polish descent and create a network of these brilliant scientists in our community. But all of this takes time, money and staff. You can help us to achieve these goals.

If you are a member of the Kosciuszko Foundation - thank you! But spread the word. Join us on April 28th to dance, celebrate, socialize and network at the glamorous Waldorf=Astoria. If you cannot attend, please support the Kosciuszko Foundation's mission by purchasing a commemorative ad in the Ball Journal, or by purchasing raffle tickets to win fabulous prizes.

Polonia can be stronger, but only if you help.
