Diocese of Brooklyn to Celebrate Polish American Heritage Month

The Diocese of Brooklyn will host a special Mass and concert in honor of Polish American Heritage Month, Sunday, October 15, 2023, beginning at 3:30 p.m. at the Co-Cathedral of St. Joseph, located at 856 Pacific Street in the Prospect Heights section of Brooklyn.
Bishop Joseph Dabrowski of Charlottetown, Canada, will be the main celebrant of the Mass. Bishop Robert Brennan, Bishops Witold Mroziewski and Octavio Cisneros, Auxiliary Bishops of the Diocese of Brooklyn, and Bishop Emeritus Nicholas DiMarzio, will concelebrate the Mass.
A special concert will begin at 6:00 p.m. in the Co-Cathedral of St. Joseph honoring the 45th Anniversary of the election of Karol Wojtyla as Pope. "The Saint from Wadowice – John Paul II," will be performed by twenty Polish musical artists. Admission is free.
This October marks the 42nd Annual Polish American Heritage Month established to highlight the contributions that Polish Americans have made to the United States.
The Consul General of the Republic of Poland in New York, Adrian Kubicki, is scheduled to attend the Mass and concert. Polish community organizations and schools will also be in attendance.
