Jazz Concert at the The Kosciuszko Foundation in NYC - Walk Away

The KF Presents the final concert of the season by Walk AWAY Ranked best Polish jazz band by the Jazz Forum magazine.
WALK AWAY – recognized as the best Polish band of the last twenty years was created by Krzysztof Zawadzki, drummer in mid 1980s. The band has performed fusion jazz in most recognized clubs and concert halls from the Ural Mountains to the Mediterranean Sea and at the most important world festivals. An important moment in the group's career was the tour with Miles Davis.
Walk Away regularly co-operates with acclaimed jazz artists such as Urszula Dudziak, Michal Urbaniak, Ewa Bem, Lora Szafran, Ryszard Rynkowski, Mieczyslaw Szczesniak, to name just a few. Also some of the most recognized American musicians played with the band: Mike Stern, Eric Marienthal, Mino Cinelu, Frank Gambale, David Fiuczynski, Randy Brecker, Bill Evans, Dean Brown, Victor Bailey, David Gilmore, Bob Berg, Joey Calderazzo, and David Kikoski.
The event will also feature "Faces of Music" ("Twarze Muzyki") - a photo exhibit by renowned Polish photographer Andrzej Tyszko.

Founded in 1925, the Kosciuszko Foundation promotes closer ties between Poland and the United States through educational, scientific and cultural exchanges. It awards up to $1 million annually in fellowships and grants to graduate students, scholars, scientists, professionals, and artists, and promotes Polish culture in America. The Foundation has awarded scholarships and provided a forum to Poles who have changed history.
