FILM Pola Negri: Life of a Star at The Kosciuszko Foundation in NY

Screening of the documentary film by Mariusz Kotowski in Manhattan

The Kosciuszko Foundation invites you to join us to see "Pola Negri: Life of a Star" – an eye-opening and inspiring documentary about Pola Negri (born as Apolonia Chalupec in present-day Lipno, Poland), the first European film star to be invited to Hollywood who achieved worldwide fame and became one of the most popular actresses in American silent film. The film screening will be followed by a discussion with film director, Mariusz Kotowski led by Prof. Andrzej Krakowski, an award-winning film producer, screenwriter and director. Wine reception will follow the Q & A session.

Founded in 1925, the Kosciuszko Foundation promotes closer ties between Poland and the United States through educational, scientific and cultural exchanges.
