Award-winning composer and vocalist Agata Zubel will be featured at the FERUS Festival in New York. Presented by the VisionIntoArt (VIA), a multimedia production company which facilitates "flamboyant, confounding, and enticing collaborations" (New York Times), the festival presents some of today's most exciting creators of music and theater during a two-day extravaganza of new music, theatre, sound and visual worlds. Other composers and musicians to be featured during the festival include Cornelius Dufallo, Molly Joyce, Mikael Karlsson, Hafez Modirzadeh, and Gity Razaz; with featured performers Leo Genovese, Lucy Dhegrae, Ariadne Greif, Patrick Jones, Inbal Segev, and Jeffrey Zeigler; production collaborators Carmen Kordas, Caroline Park, and Austin Regan; and librettists Christopher Oscar Peña and Royce Vavrek.

During the FERUS Festival, Agata Zubel will perform with Hafez Modirzadeh (composer/ alto saxophone) and Jeffrey Zeigler (cello) and also present New York premiere of her composition Parlando for voice and electronics.

With the belief that collaboration sustains artistic innovation, VisionIntoArt creates and commissions works that involve various disciplines, presented around the world for a general audience, and forged from the most exciting emerging and established artists living today as well as interdisciplinary experts including scientists and conservationists. VIA's works have been seen at Lincoln Center, the Barbican Centre, the Harare International Festival of the Arts (HIFA) in Zimbabwe, The Brooklyn Academy of Music, and the Kennedy Center, along with residencies at MASS MoCA and The Park Avenue Armory. FERUS Festival launched in New York in 2014 by VIA presents projects with an emphasis on cross-disciplinary collaboration.

The 2015 Ferus Festival is supported in part by the New Music USA Cary's New Music Performance Fund and by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in Partnership with the City Council.
