Posters by Rafał Olbiński
Rafał Olbiński is a renowned illustrator and painter. He is the creator of numerous posters for American operas (including NYC Opera). He received over a hundred awards for his work. His paintings can be found in the biggest collections of contemporary art. Over a dozen posters will be on display in this exhibit.
„Dance and Naked Thoughts”: An exhibit of works by Maria Fuks, Zbigniew Nowosadzki, and Janusz Skowron
This exhibit of small works by three artists explores the human figure. Dance is like a tango or a grotesque whirl-wind, sometimes performed in pairs, but sometimes also alone. The pieces stand naked in form and color, and althought stylistically different, are united by the common theme of humanity.
Jazz Concert by Paweł Ignatowicz Duo
Paweł Ignatowicz is a known NY jazz musician and composer. His work can be described as straight ahead jazz mixed with fusion. He combines rock elements of Jimi Hendrix with elements of works by Steve Reich and Philip Glass. His compositions combine lyrical quality with modern harmony, and vanguard solos with unusual expression.
