March 06, 2014
March 7, at 7.30pm, Polish pianist Tadeusz Domanowski offers a program of Byrd, Ravel, Berg, and Stockhausen in the latest installment of Marilyn Nonken‘s Voluptuous Virtuosity new music series at Spectrum NYC, 121 Ludlow Street on the Lower East Side.

Domanowski is one of the most interesting Polish pianists of the young generation. Vladimir Ashkenazy said about him, “Listening to Tadeusz Domanowski, I was deeply impressed by both his great talent and devotion to music.” Another legendary pianist, Lazar Berman stated, “Tadeusz Domanowski is a mature musician of great creative potential.” He has won various piano competitions, including the Steinway Competition in Hamburg (Germany), the International Balys Dvarionas Competition in Vilnius (Lithuania), and the IBLA Grand Prize (Italy). He has given concerts in many countries of Europe, America and Asia, including, Germany, France, Italy, Great Britain, Sweden, Greece, the Czech Republic, Romania, Moldova, Lithuania, Russia, China and the USA.
A native of Gliwice, Poland, Domanowski released his first solo album, Tadeusz Domanowski Piano, on EMI Classics last year.
