Piano Recital Featuring, world renowned pianist, Maciej Grzybowski. Sarasota, FL

Concert goers can look forward to hearing: Chopin, Bach, Schumann, and Lutoslawski.
The Polish-American Association of Sarasota, Florida is pleased to announce its annual concert, this year featuring world renowned pianist Maciej Grzybowski. Born in 1968 and educated in Warsaw, Mr. Grzybowski has been described as a pianist with a distinctive personality and a great passion for music. His interpretations of both contemporary and time honored pieces have garnered him the utmost praise. He has played with the Sinfonia Varsovia, the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Krakow Symphony working with such great music authorities as Witold Lutoslawski, Krzysztof Penderecki, and Jan Krenz among others. He was a member of the Nonstrom ensemble with which he won the Special Prize in the Dusseldorf International Music Competition in 1998. Mr. Grzybowski has taken part in numerous music festivals not only in Poland but in Zagreb, Berlin, Lvov, Kiev, and Odessa. His recital in Bologna, Italy was recognized as the greatest music event of the decade.
A rich repertoire includes works by contemporary composers such as Andre Tchaikowski, Pawel Mykietyn, Pawel Szymanski, Arnold Schonberg and Charles Ives. His American debut took place in New York in 2006.
After a concert in Santa Monica, Walter Arlen, a longtime critic of music in the Los Angeles Times declared Mr. Grzybowski was the best pianist he had ever heard in his life.March 9, 2014 at 4:00 pm
