The National Chopin Piano Competition of the United States in Miami

The National Chopin Piano Competition of the United States (“National Competition”) is designed to offer performance opportunities and financial support to young American pianists, and to enable the Prize Winners to take part in the 18th International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw. Initiated in 1975, and held in Miami every five years, the National Competition rules reflect closely the regulations and requirements of the International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw, Poland.
The National Competition is open to pianists holding U.S. citizenship (native born or naturalized), born between 1990 and 2004, demonstrating a professional level of performance.
Competition Sessions – Preliminaries, Quarter and Semi-Finals
The Preliminaries, Quarter and Semi-Finals are FREE to the public, and require no tickets or reservations.
