The New York Polish Film Festival 2019
May 03, 2019
May 22, 2019 - May 24, 2019 and June 1, 2019 – Jun 2, 2019
Now in its 15th season, the New York Polish Film Festival is pleased, once again, to bring the best new Polish cinema to a New York audience. The 2019 festival, which kicks off May 22, features an exceptional program that includes award-winning feature films, documentaries, and shorts, many making their US premiere.
As the largest festival of its type in the Northeast, NYPFF continues to highlight the diversity of voices that shape contemporary Polish cinema and to celebrate and promote stories that resonate far beyond the boundaries of the Polish community.
This year’s lineup will introduce audiences to Filip Bajon’s, THE BUTLER, WEREWOLF by Adrian Panek, SEVEN EMOTIONS by Marek Katerski, and Olga Chajadas’ new film, NINA, along with a host of other feature films and documentaries.
Directors Filip Bajon (The Butler), Janusz Kondratiuk (The Dog & The Cat), Olga Chajdas (NINA), and cinematographer Dominik Domlczuk (Werewolf), along with others, are traveling to the festival from Poland, to meet audience members and participate in Q&A sessions following the screenings.
The New York Polish Film Festival is made possible by the generosity of our supporters, the enthusiasm of our audience, and the dedication of the filmmakers whose work we are honored to present. The NYPFF team would like to extend warm gratitude to the Scandinavia House, as it provides the venue for this year’s festival.
