Andrzej Lubowski, author of Zbigniew Brzeziński’s biography visited Chicago

A Polish economist, journalist and author of “Zbig. The man who cracked the Kremlin”, published also in English, and “The Year 2040 - Is the West Destined to Lose?” visited Chicago at the invitation of Polish Consul General Paulina Kapuścińska.
During his visit to Chicago, the Polish Consulate General held a press conference on February 20, 2014. The discussion, with membes of Polonia present, was moderated by Daniel Bociąga from Polish Radio Chicago.
The talk focused on Poland’s economic questions and her accomplishments on the eve of this year’s 25th anniversary of the systemic and economic transformation after 1989 as well as Poland’s role in the region.
Andrzej Lubowski also talked about Zbigniew Brzeziński, the United States National Security Advisor to President Jimmy Carter, and the U.S. role in the fight against communism. During the meeting the guests had an opportunity to ask Andrzej Lubowski questions.
On February 19, 2014 Andrzej Lubowski met with American history students at the Loyola University Chicago. During a class of Professor Marek Suszko, Andrzej Lubowski discussed the impact of the 1980’s events in Poland on Europe and world.
On February 20 Andrzej Lubowski also attended a “Business after hours” event where he met with members of the Polish - American Chamber of Commerce.
