Opening of the New Department of the Ukrainian "Europe with Ukraine" Foundation: "Honourable Citizen of Ukraine" for Princess Angelika Jarosławska Sapieha

On March 16, 2024, a new department of the Ukrainian foundation Europe-Ukraine was officially opened during an evening ceremony just 40 kilometers from the border with Russia, in Lidzbark Warmiński, in Krasicki Hotel. Warmian bishops had been residing here for almost four hundred fifty years—from 1350 until 1795. It used to be their primary residence and center of power. The castle of the Warmian bishops was built at the turn of the 14th and 15th centuries.
Last year, on February 22, Andrzej Rubacki and the “Europe with Ukraine” foundation organized a special charity concert with fundraising for Ukraine in Lidzbark Warmiński.
Volunteers from Lidzbark Warmiński have been extremely engaged and dedicated to supporting Ukrainians in the last two years. Due to their work, the second department of the “Europe with Ukraine” foundation was established in Lidzbark.
There were also special guests: Peace Ambassador Princess Angelika Jarosławska Sapieha and Prince Krzysztof Radziwiłł, who have been actively supporting Ukraine for years.
For many years, the “Europe with Ukraine” foundation organized tonnes of humanitarian equipment for the hospitals, pediatric wards, and children from the orphanages in Ukraine.
Its initiator, Henryk Kościelny, has been providing humanitarian aid for Ukraine for many years due to the support of the donors and charity organizations cooperating with the “Europe with Ukraine” foundation. He has been going to Ukraine several times a month with humanitarian aid since the beginning of the war.
One of the long-term supporters of the important humanitarian work of the “Europe with Ukraine” foundation is Peace Ambassador Princess Angelika Jarosławska Sapieha.
She has supported the foundation since the beginning and cooperated with the Polish Peace Corps.
At the historic object in Lidzbark, Peace Ambassador Angelika Jarosławska Sapieha, patron of the “Europe with Ukraine” foundation, she received the distinction “Honourable Citizen of Ukraine” for long-standing humanitarian assistance.
During her speech, she stressed the current situation in Ukraine and missile attacks, where Ukrainian innocent civilians and children are killed.
She appealed for continued support for Ukraine and Ukrainians, terribly suffering due to the Russian aggression. Princess also thanked all the volunteers for their priceless work and dedication.
