\"The Nutcracker\" The Moscow classical ballet’s at Lehman Center for the performing arts – Sunday, November 25 at 6pm.

\"The troupe boasts a cluster of phenomenal young dancers....\" – The New York Times Bronx, NY – Direct from Russia, Lehman Center for the Performing Arts presents a delightful holiday classic, THE NUTCRACKER , performed by The Moscow Classical Ballet. The company has the distinction of being one of only three state-supported Russian ballet troupes; the other two are the Bolshoi and the Kirov. Last year’s audiences loved the show so much that Lehman brought the company back to dazzle them once again.
Millions have celebrated the holiday season with The Nutcracker enjoying Tchaikovsky’s enchanting score and Hoffman’s heartwarming story of a little girl who dreams on Christmas Eve of a Nutcracker Prince and goes on a wonderful journey through magical lands. Combining this wonderful ballet with one of the world’s best ballet companies offers audiences a unique opportunity to enjoy the holiday season. Gia Kourlas of The New York Times wrote in a review of last season’s show: “This Nutcracker was serious business.”

Takes place Sunday, November 25, 2006 at 6pm at Lehman
Center for the Performing Arts Concert Hall, 250 Bedford Park Blvd. W. on the campus of Lehman College in the Bronx. Tickets cost $35, $30, $25 & $20 (tickets for children 12 and under cost only $10 any seat) and can be purchased through 24 hour online access at www.LehmanCenter.org or by calling the Lehman Center box office at 718-960-8833 (Mon. through Fri., 10am-5pm and beginning at 12 noon on the day of the concert). Lehman Center is accessible by #4 or D train to Bedford Park Blvd., and is right off several major highways, including the Henry Hudson Parkway, the Saw Mill River Parkway and Major Deegan Expressway. Over 1000 free on-site attended parking spaces are available.
