Manchester United back to winning ways against Fenerbahce

1. Paul Pogba’s best match
The most controversial talking point surrounding this Manchester United side was Paul Pogba’s performances. He hasn’t dominated the league yet that many would have expected. However, he scored his first double in years, from converting a penalty and scoring a fantastic long range goal after the Europa league game on Thursday. He also made several great runs and dribbles and overall had a complete package in terms of performance.

2. Wayne Rooney looking better
Another figure that has been discussed vehemently was the ever-controversial Wayne Rooney. He was a subject of criticism, and rightfully so, so far this season. For too long he looked sluggish and could not justify his side in the team. However, Rooney looked very strong against the Turkish side, providing wonderful passes, and winning a penalty for his side.

3. Martial and Lingard Score
The two talented forwards rounded up the rest of the goals scored. Both have had a somewhat mediocre start of the season, particularly for Anthony Martial. However, his well taken penalty can spark some sort of form in the coming weeks. Meanwhile, Lingard scored a great goal from outside the box to cap off what was a very strong night for United. These are the players Mourinho needs that will open up the opposition in the next several games.
