NY: PSC Participated in the 4th Annual International Day in Brooklyn

On Saturday, August 6, 2017 representatives of the Consulate General of Poland in New York and The Polish & Slavic Center (PSC) participated in the 4th Annual International Day of Friendship, which is organized to promote intercultural friendship
The Polish-Slavic Center represented the Polish community in the parade which gathered representatives and volunteers from 195 countries. The Polish booth was very popular, in particular traditional sweets attracted people's attention. Also, colorful brochures promoting the regions of Poland and the map of Poland, where you could have marked the places you visited or came from.
The festival began with the Unity Parade of Flags down Fulton Mall from its intersection with Flatbush Avenue toward Brooklyn Borough Hall, where participants formed a symbolic circle of friendship around the "People's House." The festival also featured performances from a wide variety of local groups representing cultures around the world, and international cuisine from local food trucks.
