New York: Grand Banquet at the Marriott Marquis, Liturgy at St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Pulaski Parade Breakfast at the 3 West Club, Pulaski Day Parade on Fifth Avenue
Message from President Richard Zawisny:
The 80-th Annual Pulaski Day Parade commemorating the sacrifice of our hero, General Casimir Pulaski, Father of the American Cavalry, in the War of American Independence begins on Fifth Avenue at 12:30pm on Sunday, October 1, 2017
.
This year we are recognizing the contributions of Pulaski’s ‘Comrade‐in‐Arms’ General Tadeusz Kosciuszko to the cause of freedom in 2 countries, Poland and the United States.
Also, this year marks the 100th Anniversary of the Polish “Blue Army” who contributed greatly to the reestablishment of Poland as a nation following World War I.
In 2017, the ‘Greatest Manifestation of Polish Pride in America’, the Pulaski Parade, will be led by the Honorable Slawomir Platta Esq., a prominent attorney from the State of New York. As our 2017 Grand Marshal, Mr. Platta has promised to revive and reinvigorate the participation and dedication of Polish ‐ American youth to the ideals which Pulaski and Kosciuszko shared.
