The terror of WWII obliterated humanity, but some were brave enough to combat evil with love and fellowship. Experience how the people of Poland risked everything to rescue their Jewish neighbors from unfathomable hatred and certain death. Named 2016 European Museum of the Year, the POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews in Warsaw presents new research that stimulates and challenges our understanding of Polish-Jewish relations. Join us at the Isaac Agree Downtown Synagogue on August 24th at 5:30pm for a special viewing of the moving exhibition They Risked Their Lives, featuring a panel discussion at 6:30pm with Dr. Jamie Wraight, Curator of The Voice/Vision Holocaust Survivor Oral History Archive at the University of Michigan-Dearborn, Dr. Guy Stern, Director of the International Institute of the Righteous at the Holocaust Memorial Center, and Dr. Joshua Genig, Director of Lay Ministry and Associate Professor of Church History at the SS. Cyril & Methodius Seminary. The event is free and open to all and donations will be accepted. Presented in partnership with The Polish Mission.
