At the elegant Waldorf Astoria Hotel in Manhattan, the 81st Kosciuszko Foundation Ball entertained Polonia elites including businessmen, diplomats and representatives of numerous organizations.
Ambassador of the Republic of Poland Ryszard Schnepf together with his wife were guests at the annual Kosciuszko Foundation Ball in New York. This event is one of the oldest and most elegant Polish galas in the United States.
During the course of the ball the Kosciuszko Foundation honored Martha Stewart, American entrepreneur and businesswomen with Polish Roots, who received the “Spirit of the KF Award.” Also recognized was Professor Piotr Chomczyński, renowned biochemist, businessman and strong supporter of the Foundation.
The artistic portion of the event featured dancers from the Polish American Folk Dance Company, as well as Opera singer Edyta Kulczak from the Metropolitan Opera. Funds raised through the ball are used to support the education and cultural program of the Kosciuszko Foundation and to renovate their building, which next year will 100 years since it was built.
