Housed in a fine example of Beaux-Art architecture, our embassy building is the oldest embassy in Washington DC still in use today.
Join us as we celebrate Poland’s history and culture during the 8th Annual EU Open House.
This year Poland is celebrating the 10th anniversary of joining the EU, the 15th anniversary of joining NATO, and the 25th anniversary of the fall of Communism and our transition to democracy initiated by the Solidarity movement. 25 years ago the famous “round table” negotiations between the communist party and the democratic opposition led to the first partially free elections in Eastern Europe, which took place in Poland on June 4th 1989 and paved the way to freedom for other countries. Come celebrate these milestones with us and learn more about contemporary Poland.
