The 49th Chicago International Film Festival with \"Walesa\" and six other Polish productions

The 49th Chicago International Film Festival kicks off Oct 10, with many productions from around the globe, including a generous line-up of Polish films and artists present during the screenings in Chicago.
The Festival will altogether feature seven Polish productions:
Floating Skyskrapers directed by Tomasz Wasilewski,
In the Name of directed by Małgorzata Szumowska,
Lasting directed by Jacek Borcuch,
Life Feels Good directed by Maciej Pieprzyca,
Papusza directed by Joanna Kos-Krause and Krzysztof Krauze,
short film Ziegenort by Tomasz Popakul and
this year’s Poland’s Oscar® candidate Wałęsa: Man of Hope.
Actor Andrzej Chyra, starring In the Name of, and producer Michał Kwieciński (Wałęsa: Man of Hope) are scheduled to appear during the screenings in Chicago: on Friday, Oct 11, at 6:00pm and Saturday, Oct 12, at 3:30pm (Andrzej Chyra) and on Friday, Oct 11 at 5:30pm (Michał Kwieciński) at AMC River East 21 (322 E. Illinois St, Chicago).
The Chicago International Film Festival was founded 49 years ago. Ever since that time Chicago audiences have been introduced every year to the works of new filmmakers as well as established ones. The Consulate General of the Republic of Poland has cooperated with the Chicago International Film Festival supporting and promoting the screenings of Polish films.
