Marian Turski, Holocaust Survivor and former Auschwitz concentration camp prisoner paid a visit to Chicago at the invitation of the Polish Consul General Paulina Kapuścińska.
Among the guests hosted by Polish Consul General Paulina Kapuścińska were Consuls General of Germany, Israel and Lithuania as well as many representatives of the Polish-American and Jewish-American communities of Chicago.
Marian Turski is a historian, journalist, President of the Association of the Jewish Historical Institute of Poland and Member of the Board of the Museum of the History of Polish Jews. His lecture today is part of the events, organized by the Polish Consulate in Chicago marking 70 years since the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, which will culminate on April 18, 2013 in the Grand Commemoration of the Outbreak of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising.
