Britain\'s backing for the US-led invasion of Iraq was \"the right decision... for the right reasons,\" British Prime Minister Gordon Brown on Friday told an inquiry into the 2003 conflict.
"It was the right decision and it was for the right reasons," he said in opening comments to the inquiry, expected to focus on his role in funding the conflict as finance minister under Tony Blair.
