Ania Nowicka and her volunteering mission to South Sudan

Dear friends,

Be careful what you wish for, because that wish may come true some day. For instance, you can find yourself on the way to Africa, like me…

After nearly a two year process of formation in Salesian Voluntary Service YOUTH FOR THE WORLD, I was chosen to go for a volunteering mission to South Sudan. This summer I am going to leave Poland to work at primary school in Wau. I will teach English and prepare children for the next steps of their education. As you probably know, those children have many needs, they need basic educational materials including note books, pencils, maps, educational boards and phisical education equipment.

Those materials are inexpensive compared to a ticket to Wau, visa, vaccines, residence, insurance and anti-malarial medicines (all together it will cost $5,000). Thank God, my enthusiasm and heart for children is free! I would like to ask you for any small donations while spreading this message among your friends and family. Please, keep in mind those children, not me - I am happy to work for them and their growth and development. We are truly grateful for each dollar that you are willing to contribute.
